The outer ring with large load carrying capacity of drawn cup needle roller bearing is formed by punching the thin steel plate .It is suitable for small section height , or when the housing bore is not used for raceway , this type is recommended to use . The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure witout futher axial orientation . Inspection The dimensional accuracy of drawn cup needle roller bearings can’t be measured before fitting, as the thin walled outer ring will be out of round during manufacturing process. The bearings obtain the accuracy only when pressed into a housing bore with the recommended tolerance limits. The inscribed circle’s diameter (FW) can be checked as follows; Press the bearing into a normal ring and inspect the minimum deviation of inner diameter with cylindrical limiting gauge.
